Attitude
No rules and no trends. The music is mostly organically conceived through jam sessions. Voidskull adheres to their own aesthetic and rejects assimilation.

Inspiration
Staggering beauty of the natural world without human interference and the primal longing to return to nature. The imprint of the human: annihiliation, genocide, religious hatred, the systemic dogmas entrenched in societies, the unending greed, the corporate overlords, the pollution choking the earth, and the manipulation of the masses through propaganda. Self destruction. Self confrontation. Loss and the sometimes overwhelming depression that blacks out the world. Anti-establishment. Anti-racism. Anti-authoritarian. Darkness. A reaction to mainstream culture. Revenge.

The People
Voidskull was created in 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
ABQ death metal veteran, Nick Staggs (formerly of Manias Sale Sangre), provides the frantic pulse of the project on percussion; a frenetic avalanche of maniacal energy that propels the sound forward with repeated concussions into enemy territory.
A recent transplant to New Mexico, Neil Filth (formerly of Atlantes), delivers a caustic Orange thunder with his Rickenbacker bass. His punk and metal background translates into a ballistic rampage of growling basslines, infused with incendiary wrath. Marty Martyr (formerly of Michigan’s Seppuku) handles guitar and vocals. His tortured screams are deliberate excursion into a widening abyss. His siege of twisted JCM 800 fueled riffs assault the listener with jagged severity.

The Mission
Create and perform music that hurts. To write lyrical subject matter that forces confrontation, along with a high volume sonic onslaught that assails and challenges the listener. To play physically demanding shows and leave blood and sweat on the stage.
